An Opportunity to Serve!
Dear church family, Mona Eiland will be having surgery later this week to repair a shattered elbow from a recent fall. Fortunately, her son is here from Florida and will be caring for her after her surgery until Sunday. Beginning on Monday, through the end of next week, Mona needs someone to check in on her once a day to let her dogs out to potty. It would also be a blessing to Mona if we could get meals to her during this time, as she will be unable to cook or prepare meals directly following her surgery. The church can compensate you (if desired), as we have designated benevolence funds set aide for this very purpose. The church will also reimburse you for any expenses related to providing meals to her. If you are available to check in on her and to take a meal to her, please message me and let me know. I will be glad to share the address with you and provide more details, as needed. In the interim, please keep both Mona and Don in your thoughts and prayers. Don is still in a rehab hospital in Warner Robins recovering from an infection in his knee following a botched knee replacement surgery. Mona recently fell while out shopping and shattered her elbow and damaged her shoulder. They both need the prayers and support of their church family during this time. Thanks gang!

Today's Teaching (May 5, 2024)Judges 13: Samson – A Blessed Failure & Weak Warrior In Judges 13 begin to examine the life of one of the most colorful, yet careless men of the book of Judges. He is the Incredible Hulk, the Hercules, the Superman of the Old Testament. His name is Samson, a/k/a Sunny. He is blessed by the Lord but is nonetheless a failure. He is a warrior for the Lord but is nonetheless weak. Samson is one of the great puzzles of the Bible. He was a man of great victories and great failures. Samson physically was the strongest man who ever lived but he also was very weak. He was the weakest strong man to ever live. Samson’s life shows us that life’s supreme failure is to have much from the Lord and do little with it for the Lord! Samson’s life also teaches us that the Holy Spirit is all we need to do mighty things for the Lord!
